This is a pure business development role focused on winning new customers across Grande Prairie, Peace River and Fort St. John.
Our client designs and manufactures chemical injection systems, pumps and monitoring solutions used in oil and gas field operations, including solar powered, low emission technologies for remote sites. This role suits someone who is comfortable prospecting in the field, opening doors and building new relationships in the oil patch. Success is measured by new customer wins and revenue growth.
Business Development Representative responsibilities:
Prospect, canvas and open new customer accounts in the territory
Cold call, visit sites and engage prospects directly in the field
Present technical solutions to producers, contractors and service companies
Support installations and basic troubleshooting as required
Build and convert a pipeline of new business opportunities
Own territory activity, follow up and results
Travel approximately 50 percent, with occasional overnight trips
The successful candidate has:
Oil and gas field experience or exposure to chemical injection, pumps, controls or instrumentation
A strong hunting mindset and comfort prospecting without hand fed leads
Ability to speak the language of the oil patch and work safely on site
Early to mid career sales experience or a technical background moving into sales
Drive, resilience and comfort being measured on results
A valid drivers licence with a clean abstract
Compensation and benefits:
Base salary range of $75,000 $120,000 depending on experience
Quarterly bonus program heavily weighted toward new business
