- Communicate effectively with clients to fulfill their needs with innovative, comprehensive, and data-driven solutions;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including system designers, software developers, data scientists, and project managers;
- Train and mentor junior staff;
- Perform operational planning and analysis for rail projects for a diverse range of clients, at various phases of the railway system lifecycle, from concept design through commissioning, operations and maintenance;
- The development of plans related to the operation of a railway and/or transit system including Concept of Operations, Concept of Maintenance, Operational Readiness, O&M procedures and O&M Manuals;
- Perform operations simulation, interpret outputs, and present results for railway applications including rail network and yard operations, traction power load flow, tunnel ventilation, pedestrian movement, and roadway traffic using industry standard tools and techniques;
- Develop and maintain passenger simulation models for different transportation modes, such as trains, buses, airplanes, and urban mobility facilities;
- Utilize data-driven approaches to enhance the accuracy and realism of the passenger models, taking into account factors like demographics, user preferences, and crowd dynamics.
- Collaboration with cross-disciplines including station architects, code compliance consultants, safety assurance, urban planning, rail operations, permitting and authorities having jurisdiction.
- Participate as an integral component of a broader Systems Engineering team.
- Intersect with Requirement Management, Interface Management, RAMS, Safety Assurance, and Integration engineers relating to system performance requirements, asset management, lifecycle cost analysis, hazard identification and assessment, and test planning.
- A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in similar industry and capacity;
- Engineering/Planning Degree or equivalent from an accredited institution (a combination of education and experience will also be considered);
- Professional engineering (P.Eng.) designation, or eligibility to be registered.
