The Data Architect role provides technical leadership over the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise data platforms to support analytics, AI, reporting, and business decision‑making. It partners closely with IT and business leaders to build a secure, scalable, and future‑ready data foundation using modern Azure and Microsoft data technologies.Key Responsibilities
  • Define and lead the overall data architecture strategy, ensuring data platforms support analytics, AI, reporting, and enterprise decision‑making.
  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and reliable data infrastructure aligned with current business needs and future growth.
  • Partner with data engineers, software architects, IT operations, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into implementable architectures.
  • Establish and maintain data management practices, including security, recovery, backup, metadata, lineage, and data quality standards.
  • Document and maintain current and target‑state data architectures, integrations, pipelines, and data flows.
  • Evaluate and recommend technologies to improve data accessibility, performance, and governance.
  • Communicate data strategies and architectural decisions clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Promote data literacy and contribute to fostering a strong, data‑driven culture across the organization.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in data architecture or a related role such as data engineering or software architecture.
  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Hands‑on experience with modern cloud data platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure data and analytics services.
  • Strong background in relational databases and data modeling techniques, including dimensional, relational, and analytical models.
  • Experience with modern business intelligence and reporting tools.
  • Ability to define and communicate long‑term data strategies to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ownership mindset with the ability to carry initiatives from analysis through delivery and documentation.
