- Define and lead the overall data architecture strategy, ensuring data platforms support analytics, AI, reporting, and enterprise decision‑making.
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and reliable data infrastructure aligned with current business needs and future growth.
- Partner with data engineers, software architects, IT operations, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into implementable architectures.
- Establish and maintain data management practices, including security, recovery, backup, metadata, lineage, and data quality standards.
- Document and maintain current and target‑state data architectures, integrations, pipelines, and data flows.
- Evaluate and recommend technologies to improve data accessibility, performance, and governance.
- Communicate data strategies and architectural decisions clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Promote data literacy and contribute to fostering a strong, data‑driven culture across the organization.
- 5+ years of experience in data architecture or a related role such as data engineering or software architecture.
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Hands‑on experience with modern cloud data platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure data and analytics services.
- Strong background in relational databases and data modeling techniques, including dimensional, relational, and analytical models.
- Experience with modern business intelligence and reporting tools.
- Ability to define and communicate long‑term data strategies to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Proven ownership mindset with the ability to carry initiatives from analysis through delivery and documentation.
