- Manage all accounting operations including billing, AR/AP, general ledger, inventory, and revenue recognition.
- Support the preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements including notes, and MD&A.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of monthly proforma package.
- Develop various formats of management reporting and KPIs to drive operational insight.
- Manage the monthly operational results closing calendar, including validation of KPIs (revenue, COGS, expenses, accruals, provisions) and variance analysis.
- Lead the quarterly pre-close process to support free cash flow (FCF) forecasting.
- Review all balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations and perform related SOX compliance tasks.
- Manage the flow of information to auditors and ensure readiness for audit cycles.
- Oversee coordination of year-end inventory counts with the Inventory Team Lead.
- Support the rollout of consistent AP, AR, and inventory practices across international locations.
- Manage task distribution and team workload to achieve optimal performance.
- Partner with Area Managers, Managing Directors, and Operations to enhance weekly/monthly reporting.
- Be a key support person to the Directors providing hands-on assistance.
- Challenge the status quo professionally and communicate effectively with managers and leads.
- Serve as a backup for critical areas (AP, AR, inventory, cash, and other financial statement items).
- Be an extremely hands-on user of the ERP system to drive data accuracy, reporting, and operational efficiencies.
- Leverage ERP capabilities to support financial and operational decision-making.
- Perform miscellaneous ad hoc tasks, reports, and analysis as requested.
- CPA designation and a degree in accounting.
- 10 to 12 years of experience in operational accounting, management reporting, and KPI development in a publicly traded company of comparable size, preferably listed on NASDAQ.
- Experience working in Canada, the USA and Europe.
- Strong experience in procure-to-pay processes and inventory management.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing accounting teams.
- Proficiency in ERP systems with a hands-on approach to data and reporting.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Experience working in Big 4.
- Experience working in SOX compliant environment.
