Identify gaps, develop action plans, and implement corrective actions to optimize the site's environmental systems and environmental program. Liaise with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with environmental requirements.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESParticipate in internal HSE auditsManage PPE (glasses and shoes)Schedule hazardous waste collections (send lists and accompany the supplier)Calibrate gas detectorsPurchase safety equipment (researching gear)Participate in HSE committeesDeliver basic HSE training to new employees and, occasionally, other training sessionsParticipate in accident and incident investigations and analysesFollow up on corrective actions identified during inspections, HSE meetings, or other opportunitiesConduct noise samplingCollaborate with various departments on certain modifications (e.g., ergonomics)Participate in the development and execution of emergency evacuation drillsUpdate KPI stats and chartsProvide HSE support to plant employeesParticipate in the first response teamEnsure the safety data sheets (SDS) are up to date and manage WHMIS documentationEnter data into the Cority EHS management softwareEnsure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory requirements in a manufacturing environmentContribute to the development and updating of work proceduresPerform any other related dutiesCORE COMPETENCIESAccountability

We consistently deliver the required business results, meet deadlines, and adhere to standards of quality, productivity, and performance.JOB SPECIFICATIONSKnowledge/Qualifications:A college diploma in Environment, Health and Safety (EHS), or an equivalent combination of education and experience is requiredPractical knowledge of Microsoft Office, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a basic understanding of applicable federal and provincial lawsFluency in spoken, written, and reading French required. English an assetMotivation, positive attitude, attention to detail, and team spiritPractical knowledge of relevant pharmaceutical industry regulations is an assetPrevious experience in managing hazardous materials and/or environmental programsPrevious experience in a manufacturing environment is an assetWORK CONDITIONS
