- Assists employees with payroll, personnel and benefit questions or concerns. Exercises discretion and confidentiality with all employee information.
- Keys new employee information into the computer payroll system, updates for documented changes/initiates documentation for automatic changes. Reviews all documents for accuracy prior to keying and filing.
- Runs reports for managers on attendance, benefit eligibility, upcoming raises and status changes. Issues daily report of payroll by department.
- Tracks counseling notices and performance reviews prior to filing, purges expired counseling notices, updates performance review list.
- Maintains employee personnel files. Retains payroll report history, time card books, terminated employee files.
- Issues authorized job/wage confirmations. Completes Workers Compensation reports. Posts work schedules weekly. Distributes paycheques, attaches flyers as needed.
- Keys employee credit applications for Costco membership/credit card.
- Provides prompt, courteous member service when answering phones, assisting members.
- Assists in other areas of the warehouse as necessary.
- Education/Training: High School Diploma or GED preferred. Permits/Licenses/Certifications: None
- Experience: Candidates with payroll experience will be given preference over other candidates.
- Knowledge/Skills: Must pass Costco Math test. Computer skills and communication skills preferred
