
Supervisor, Medical Device Reprocessing - MRHH Medical Device Reprocessing Sevices

- Responsible for the timely processing of equipment and supplies necessary to support the operation of internal departments.
- Ensuring patients have the best possible patient care by delivery of products processed in accordance with all regulations and standards of decontamination, disinfection and sterilization.
- Coordinating and/or collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure that continuity of and exemplary patient care is provided.
- Facilitating supports and ensuring ongoing structures to support standardized processing practices and educational strategies on processing practices, actively participates in the coordination and/or delivery of education sessions/seminars as required.
- Functioning as a resource for staff by providing continuous education and training to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and established procedures and protocols.
- Allocating staff resources including: monitoring, scheduling and utilizing staff efficiently to ensure adequate shift coverage.
- Monitoring quality standards and performs quality checks and takes corrective action as required.
- Performing administrative responsibilities.
- Sterile Supply Processing Certificate from a recognized community college or university.
- Five (5) years of recent working experience in a MDR department.
- Two (2) years Medical Device Reprocessing Supervisory experience, preferred.
- Good working knowledge of instrument tracking systems and operating room instrumentation.
- Demonstrated understanding of current legislation, regulations and procedures for sterilizing of hospital equipment and related infection control issues.
- Well-developed team-building, conflict management and consensus-building skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and to motivate others.
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus and ability to work effectively in a diverse/corporate environment.
- Self-motivated with demonstrated critical thinking and strong analytical skills.
- Strong Computer skills in a Windows environment utilizing Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook at an advanced level in addition to financial reporting.
