In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality welding tasks on various metal components and structures, ensuring accuracy, durability, and compliance with project specifications. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.Location: Halifax, NSJob type: Permanent | Full-timeResponsibilities:Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications.Work in a construction, maintenance/repair, and new fabrication environment.Perform Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) in all positions.Perform Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) in all positions.Select the proper weld filler material.Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment and semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.Operate air arc cutting equipment (carbon arc cutting).Set up Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) equipment for welding.Lift, move, or position equipment at work sites.Qualifications:Journeyperson Welder Certification (or equivalent experience/certification).Proven experience as a welder in an industrial, construction, or manufacturing setting.Proficiency in multiple welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick, etc.).Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.Strong knowledge of welding safety standards and best practices.Physical ability to lift, bend, and work in confined spaces or at heights if required.Additional certifications (CWB, ASME, etc.) considered an asset.Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in CanadaAre you interested in this position?
