
Two (2) Building System Technicians

- Checks equipment, layout work and makes reports and recommendation, acting in a lead hand function
- Performs general maintenance of buildings and building systems.
- Participates in the installation, servicing, repair and operation of electrical and mechanical equipment and systems, including AV systems.
- Maintains building plumbing and drain systems
- Assists trade and service personnel to maintain various building systems
- Distributes, follows up, checks work, answers inquiries and gives guidance as required
- Maintains building and yard electrical equipment
- Maintains and repairs office furniture, equipment and materials
- Conducts and or directs work in a manner that is sensitive to customer and public needs
- Supports Capital Project work
- Assists with the maintenance of various Life Safety Systems throughout the facilities
- Maintains stock of building supplies, monitors equipment and maintains records
- Operates a vehicle requiring a class G licence and associated equipment related to the position
- A valid Red Seal certification with a high school diploma or a two (2) year college diploma with relevant demonstrated practical experience
- Valid Class G Ontario Driver's License or higher in good standing
- Physically able to perform the essential duties in all weather conditions
- Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and any other applicable legislation
- Demonstrated proficiency in a PC Windows environment and associated desktop software applications
