- Follow cyclical menus and recipes
- Prepare food for the dining facilities including preparation of soups, daily menus, entrees, vegetables, sauces, gravies, etc.,
- Ensure primary preparation for the entrée items are completed for the following day determined by scheduled numbers
- Ensure that all food remains eye-appealing and replenished throughout the service
- Tear down line after service either storing correctly or disposing of product
- Clean line and grill area
- Ensure that correct storage conditions for products such as meats, produce, and dairy are maintained
- Assist lead cook/ kitchen supervisor as required or extra duties as assigned by them.
- Must have diploma in cooking and register as an apprentice
- Must have at least 2 years experience in cooking and following recipes
- Ability to cook soups/ sauces/ gravies/ entrees.
- Be comfortable using grill
- Current Safe Food Handlers Certificate or willingness to get one
- Reliable transportation
