TalentSphere is working with a larger real estate developer in North Toronto in need of an experienced AutoCAD Technologist. This is a busy office that values collaboration; working alongside other technologists, interior designers and decision makers to oversee a pipeline of low-rise projects. They seek a candidate with 7+ years working in structured environments, focused on production and mark-up of drawings . Someone with proven AutoCAD skills; experienced in building permits, early design through construction phases. Someone with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to produce high quality working drawing packages, construction documents, and details. You have experience mentoring others, in value engineering; working with multiple stakeholders including architects, engineers, site supers, and subconsultants to keep projects on time and on budget.WHAT'S REQUIRED
The ideal candidate will have the following credentials;
- Architectural Technology Diploma/Certification required
- 7+ years' experience as an Architectural Technologist in structured fast paced environments
- Experience working multiple low-rise projects; preference for a candidate also with high rise experience
- Solid OBC skills; knowledge of fire rating standards and occupancy standards
- Strong AutoCAD skills; plus Bluebeam, SketchUp, and Photoshop
- CA experience dealing with RFIs, SIs, SPAS, and shop drawings
- Proactive mindset; ability to troubleshoot problems
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
