Posted by:Active: Hour agoMy mom lives in Salmon Arm in an independent living retirement home. Her dementia symptoms are progressing to a point where she needs more support than they can offer. I'm looking for someone who can come in regularly to remind her to have her showers and change her clothes (two things she's starting to forget regularly) as well as provide some light housekeeping, run errands and provide a bit of companionship for an hour or two a day, 4-5 days a week. She's very high functioning, extremely fit, and loves to walk and chat, but her memory is now very compromised and is wary of people who she doesn't see every day. The only reason we're looking for regular care is so she comes to know and trust the person.
