Core Financial Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal financial policies.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage external audits, banking relationships, and insurance requirements.
- Monitor and optimize cash flow management, ensuring liquidity for growth and operations.
- Drive improvements in EBITDA % growth by analyzing key profit drivers and implementing cost controls.
- Partner with leadership to identify opportunities for margin enhancement across all business units.
- Support development and tracking of KPIs, dashboards, and benchmarking tools.
- Take ownership of the company's JONAS ERP system, ensuring it is fully leveraged and properly understood across the organization.
- Develop training and processes that improve ERP utilization for accurate job costing, reporting, and forecasting.
- Collaborate with project managers to integrate ERP data into decision-making and day-to-day operations.
- Actively participate in cost-to-complete meetings with project management teams across all divisions:
- Commercial Electrical Construction
- Service Division
- Building Automation Systems (BAS)
- Generators Division
- Provide financial insight and analysis to improve project performance, forecasting, and profitability.
- Partner with operations leadership to build and maintain division-level dashboards that drive accountability and efficiency.
