Our Ground Engineering & Materials team plays a key role in shaping the infrastructure, transportation systems, environmental solutions, and communities that contribute to a stronger and more resilient Canada.
In this role as a Junior Materials Testing Technician based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, you will contribute to the quality, safety, and durability of essential projects throughout the region.Your Impact
  • Deliver concrete field and laboratory testing to support safe and compliant construction.
  • Conduct aggregate sampling, testing, and analysis for active civil and structural projects.
  • Support foundation installation monitoring to verify accurate and safe execution.
  • Perform earthworks construction monitoring and document site progress.
  • Prepare clear and timely field reports for internal teams and clients.
  • Provide dependable client service while working collaboratively within the Ground Engineering team.
  • Travel for rotational out-of-town work when required, contributing to regional project execution.
The Skills That Set You Apart
  • Completion of a Geological, Construction, or Civil Engineering Technology program (or equivalent).
  • 1-3 years of materials testing experience in concrete, aggregate, or asphalt - applicants with less experience will be considered.
  • Knowledge of CSA, ASTM, and Provincial Test Methods is an asset.
  • Comfortable working outdoors for long days and in rugged site conditions.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and committed to technical excellence.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
