- Collaborate with the Senior Manager on all contractual obligations under the IRCC Contribution Agreement, including budget oversight, preparation of monthly expense summaries, claims, forecasts, and consolidated financial and narrative reports for both the project and funded grassroots organizations (GROs).
- Lead equitable and transparent intermediary grant processes, ensuring funding decisions reflect BUILD BCY’s equity principles and approved program objectives.
- Monitor and ensure program quality, compliance, innovation, participation, utilization, and evaluation outcomes across funded GRO initiatives.
- Provide structured onboarding and mentorship to funded GROs to strengthen understanding of IRCC reporting expectations, performance indicators, and contribution agreement obligations.
- Design and deliver structured capacity-building supports for funded GROs, including workshops, tools, templates, and individualized coaching to strengthen financial management, reporting practices, governance, and program implementation.
- Facilitate regular check-ins and learning conversations with GRO leaders to identify challenges, share best practices, and strengthen program delivery.
- Develop and manage contribution agreements and M.O.U.s for funded organizations, coordinate redistribution of funds in collaboration with DIVERSEcity’s Finance Department, and monitor sub-recipient financial claims and performance ahead of remitting it to the Finance Department.
- Prepare and monitor budget forecasts for assigned programs in collaboration with the Finance department, ensuring expenditures align with approved allocations
- Provide ongoing guidance and 1:1 support to GROs on eligible expenses, budget tracking, financial documentation, and reporting standards to strengthen organizational capacity.
- Provide structured monitoring, reporting, and outcome-alignment support to ensure GRO activities meet approved objectives and performance indicators.
- Lead preparation and submission of consolidated reports to funders and provide updates to the assigned supervisor or Board of Directors as required.
- Participate collaboratively within internal teams and external networks, advisory groups, and sector tables to strengthen intermediary practices, enhance program effectiveness, and support equitable community outcomes.
- Identify emerging risks in program implementation and work collaboratively with GROs to develop responsive solutions.
- Support internal BUILD BCY program sustainability and growth by contributing to business development activities, assisting with proposal development and funding applications, refining project concepts and measurable outcomes, and supporting budget development and reporting frameworks, while undertaking other related duties as assigned to advance program objectives.
- Minimum university or college diploma in community planning, coordination and engagement within a nonprofit setting. Desired but not mandatory skills include, finance management, social policy, not-for-profit management, or demonstrated related experience in the field.
- 3-5 years' experience in Project Management, including experience with subcontractor monitoring, grant management, and evaluation and managing financial claims.
- Experience managing federal contribution agreements (IRCC, ESDC, PHAC etc.) or similar funding models
- Experience with budget forecasting and expenditure monitoring.
- Experience working with grassroots or community-based organizations
- Deep understanding of equity, diversity, and cultural safety.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Understanding of Impact Evaluation and Outcomes Measurement.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to emerging needs.
- Effective communication and public speaking skills.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with funder Client Management Systems, MS Office 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint and particularly EXCEL).
- Bilingual – English/French is a definite asset.
- Valid BC (British Columbia) Driver's License and access to a car
- Ability to work some evening and weekends
- Ability to do provincial travel as needed
