
Senior Landscape Architect

- Participate business development initiatives, and collaborating with clients and professionals across various disciplines.
- Interact with clients and provide representation of our practice for projects, project pursuits, strategic initiatives, promotional events and business development in collaboration with the practice leader and EXP leadership.
- Maintain and strengthen client relationships and play a key role in client management and satisfaction.
- Interface directly with clients and able to provide clear, well-articulated and solution-based recommendations.
- Execute and manage a variety of project types including complex landscape architectural designs.
- Analysis, design reports and master plan preparations and narratives.
- Working through all development phases, conceptual through approvals, inspection and close out. Participate in development of construction specifications, contract administration and site review for execution of the built work.
- Provide advanced technical landscape design knowledge, mentor, and train junior technical landscape staff.
- Develop site design concepts and analyse site layouts in digital and hand-illustrated formats. Deliver creative solutions and design material that communicate design intent to clients and staff.
- Act as project manager from scoping, budgeting, scheduling and concept design through construction phases of project management. This includes preparing fee proposals, qualification packages and terms of reference for potential projects.
- Over 10 years of professional experience in Landscape Architecture
- Exceptional design and technical knowledge

- Ability to work on multiple projects (including Public Agencies, and Private Sector clients) with aggressive delivery schedules
- Demonstrated ability to prepare high-quality design work and design presentations using hand graphics and relevant computer software (AutoCAD, Landfx, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, Microsoft Office Suite)
- Demonstrated experience and design excellence in several core areas of the practice including open space, parks and plazas, streetscapes, trails, greenways, and transportation, naturalized and resilient landscapes
- Self-motivated, highly collaborative and a strong team player
- Experience in a consulting role with both private and public sector clients/projects and an established network of clients
- BLA or MLA degree in Landscape Architecture
- OALA full member with stamp
- ISA Certified Arborist or LEED Certification would be considered an asset
