Sous Chef

- Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations
- Supervise and support kitchen staff during food preparation and service
- Ensure all dishes are prepared to recipe, quality, and presentation standards
- Help with menu planning, specials, and recipe development
- Monitor food quality, portion control, and consistency
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness (HACCP)
- Train, mentor, and motivate junior kitchen staff
- Manage stock levels, ordering, and minimize food waste
- Step in for the Head Chef when required
- Proven experience as a sous chef or leadership role in a fast paced kitchen
- Formal culinary training or relevant chef qualifications preferred
- Weekend availability is required (Saturday, Sunday)
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience leading and training kitchen staff
- Valid Food handlers certificate required
- Ability to work in face paced high pressure environment
