- Perform day-to-day administration of servers, storage systems, and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V), ensuring the reliability of network services.
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies, while maintaining user accounts and access controls.
- Implement and monitor security policies, endpoint protection, and intrusion prevention systems to maintain IT security.
- Administer Microsoft 365 services, including user provisioning, license management, and configuring Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams.
- Develop and maintain backup strategies and disaster recovery plans, including performing daily backup procedures and capacity planning.
- Handle escalated Tier 3 tickets for complex server, network, and security issues, ensuring minimal downtime through rapid resolution.
- Perform root-cause analyses for recurring problems and implement permanent fixes.
- Monitor server and network performance, interpret logs, and engage in routine security measures.
- Collaborate with external IT service providers and coordinate with vendors for advanced troubleshooting and system upgrades.
- Maintain and manage the phone system, including VoIP integration, and liaise with service providers for installations and repairs.
- Perform IT forecasting to meet ongoing needs, maintain ICT asset inventory, and manage equipment depreciation.
- Set up audio systems for meetings and community events as required.
- Manage warranty issues, RMA processes, and maintain inventory control for all computer equipment.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
- Contribute to IT planning by providing weekly help desk activity reports and scheduled detailed activity reports to the supervisor.
- Conduct onboarding and technical training for new employees, ensuring knowledge transfer for support tasks.
- Track licensing compliance and ensure adherence to IT security policies and regulatory requirements.
- Diploma/Certificate or post-secondary courses in computer systems, combined with a minimum of three years of experience in network administration and technical support (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Proven experience in disaster recovery planning, implementation, and Help-Desk support.
- Proficiency with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and enterprise backup solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and TCP/IP based networks.
- Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, CompTIA Network+/Security+, VMware, or Azure Administrator are considered assets.
