Senior Architectural Designer

• Collaborate with the Design Team to produce 3D models, working drawings, and plot plans for single-family homes.
• Push boundaries to create original floor plans and elevations,
• Adapt to changes and take on new design challenges as the company continues to grow.
• Utilize Revit and AutoCAD to model, design, and draft residential homes.
• Ensure that designs meet all relevant standards, building codes, and client specifications.
• Coordinate with other teams to ensure that designs are executed accurately and within the required timelines.
• Lead and supervise junior staff as needed, providing guidance and ensuring quality control in the design process.
• Apply knowledge of residential construction and local bylaws to create efficient and compliant designs.
• Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and external partners to ensure project alignment.

• A diploma in Architectural Technology or equivalent.
• 6+ years of experience in the single-family residential industry.
• Experience in a managerial/supervisory role is considered an asset.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
• The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• A sense of urgency and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of residential construction, prior residential drafting experience, and a working knowledge of Calgary’s bylaws would be considered assets.
