  • Assist in developing, planning, organizing, and carrying the design of various electrical projects using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Electrical System Design including but not limited to:
  • Power
  • distribution and emergency backup
  • Lighting
  • Fire Alarm
  • Security, door access and controls
  • Communications and networking
  • Reviewing shop drawings
  • Carry out and assist with field reviews and field data collection
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and specifications
  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates
  • Adhere to project budgets and objectives
  • Attend project meetings with Clients and other design team members
  • Coordinate with other design disciplines
  • Participate in internal and external project meetings
  • Project management tasks– project management experience would be an asset for an Intermediate position
  • Apply and promote Englobe’s health and safety rules
What makes you unique
  • 2–5 years of experience in electrical design, drafting, or fieldwork; experience in Commercial, Municipal and Industrial is an asset
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited University or; Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technician from an accredited institution
  • Eligibility or enrollment with Association of Professional Engineers & Geoscientists Newfoundland & Labrador or registered as a Professional Technologist (P.Tech)
  • Understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, communication and lighting design
  • Familiarity with applicable electrical codes and standards
  • Experience in the consulting industry would be an asset
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written, bilingual (French) would be an asset
  • Strong organizational skills that will allow you to work on numerous projects concurrently, and update reoccurring tasks
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Familiarity with electrical design software (e.g., AGI32, SKM, or similar)
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite for documentation and reporting
  • High level of integrity and work ethic
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Valid Driver’s License
