- Manage and optimize Azure resources, including Virtual Machines (VMs), storage accounts, networking, and security policies to ensure Azure infrastructure availability, performance and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud-based infrastructure and services.
- Monitor and manage Azure spending, implementing cost-saving measures and generating reports to track recurring cloud expenses.
- Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates) to automate deployments and improve efficiency.
- Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies and provide recommendations for adoption.
- Conduct security audits and assessments to ensure cloud environments adhere to best practices, compliance standards, and security policies.
- Utilize Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights to track system health and performance.
- Perform regular maintenance and updates to ensure cloud-based systems are secure, up to date, available and scalable.
- Enforce and develop Azure policies, tagging strategies, and resource groups to maintain an organized and cost-effective environment.
- Implement backup policies and DR plans using Azure Backup and Site Recovery.
- Work with DevOps, Security, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless cloud operations while maintaining clear documentation.
- Diploma in Information Technology and Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305) are an asset.
- A minimum of three to five years of proven experience as a Cloud Administrator, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.
- In-depth knowledge of Azure cost management tools, budgets, and forecasting.
- Proficiency in PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python for automation.
- Experience with Azure Security Center, Defender for Cloud, and RBAC.
- Familiarity with Azure networking (VNets, NSGs, Firewalls, ExpressRoute).
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
- Experience leading or supporting cloud infrastructure projects, with the ability to manage priorities, coordinate stakeholders, and drive initiatives through to completion.
- Strong analytical skills to track and optimize recurring costs.
- A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify inefficiencies and drive process enhancements.
- Strong communication (verbal and written), organization and problem-solving skills to prioritize and execute tasks while make sound decisions.
- The ability to be onsite three days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate our hybrid working model.
- The expected starting salary range for this role is $70,600 - $98,800; the final offer will reflect relevant skills and experience.
