Its academic programs include undergraduate medical education (MD), postgraduate residency training across numerous specialties, and graduate-level research degrees, as well as professional programsThe Provincial Department Head, Emergency Medicine (PDH) is a unique position reporting directly to both the Dean of the CoM, and the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA). As a member of the senior leadership teams of the CoM and SHA, you provide strategic counsel and consultative services to medical and administrative colleagues in and act as a bridge builder between public need, medical training, research, medical practice, and care delivery to affect system performance with the goal of bringing research and education to better patient-centred clinical care.As the ideal candidate, you are a physician with a strong scholastic and research record, bringing clinical excellence in emergency medicine, and experience in an academic (or related) environment with recent leadership experience.The University believes equity, diversity, inclusion, and a sense of belonging strengthen the community and enhance excellence, innovation, and creativity in all domains.
