- Job Description
- Rigorously monitor CIMA+'s professional services provision and report progress monthly to the Project Manager/Director as well as technical and commercial risks, expectations, timelines milestones, and key project metrics
- Play an active role in all operational and strategic project management activities such as planning, execution, and control of assigned capital projects throughout their entire life cycle.
- Liaise with clients, governments, regulatory authorities, and other project stakeholders
- Provide guidance in seeking management solutions to ensure success of projects
- Prepare and review work plans
- Rigorously monitor projects cost, budget, schedule, quality, and accuracy of deliverables, as well as other success factors, and report periodically to the client in the format agreed upon
- Participate and/or lead technical coordination meetings, site meetings and /or project follow up meetings. Contribute to drafting the minutes of meetings
- Prepare and enforce contracts with professionals, contractors, and suppliers. Maintain existing business relationships and build new ones
- Coordinate teams of multidisciplinary experts at guiding stakeholders in the search of Solutions as well as providing expert advice on project standards, governance, and procedures to continuously improve project management practices
- In accordance with client's procedures, manage:
- Change Orders and Contract Amendments
- Contractor and suppliers Payment Requests, and provide recommendations based on work progress
- Provisional acceptance and final acceptance certificates
- Remaining or deficient work to be corrected
- Support every other aspect of projects by implementing best project management practices
- Profile
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, science or engineering
- Minimum ten (10) years of relevant experience in project management or in a similar role in mining projects
- Autonomy, excellent team spirit, advanced communicational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to navigate complex stakeholder and technical environments
- Sound professional judgment, initiative, and ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines in a fast paced, deadline oriented and dynamic environment
- Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, and to successfully and collaboratively work within a team environment across disciplines as well as work independently
- English fluency, both oral and written
