About Our ClientOur client in the commercial real estate industry, located in North York, is hiring a Property Accountant for a permanent positionResponsibilities

Prepare monthly financial statements for a portfolio of commercial properties, including variance analysis and timely reporting
Manage full-cycle accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and maintaining general ledger integrity
Oversee AR/AP processes, including tenant billings, rent rolls, CAM recoveries, HST filings, and resolving tenant account issues
Support budgeting and forecasting, including annual budgets, reforecasts, and tracking budget vs. actual performance
Partner with property management and internal teams, while driving process improvements and providing guidance to junior staff
Full-cycle bookkeeping for larger shopping centres (30%), monthly report preparation (60%) and assist with TMI preparation (10%)

Qualifications

4+ years of Property Accounting experience
Yardi Voyager software would be an asset
Strong Excel skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
