- Review the reports of inspection and testing performed to civil work.
- Confirm that any design changes have been signed and sealed by the Design Engineer.
- Confirm that the detailed designs are the latest version submitted to the Department.
- Record any changed conditions encountered, observations made, and deficiencies found during site visits.
- Non-conformance reporting.
- Stamp certificate which indicates the work was built according to the designs including any design changes.
- 5 plus years of experience in MSC walls, bridges, concrete, shotcrete, earthworks, drainage, and paving (bituminous and concrete).
- Understanding of rules and regulations on a construction site, particularly with bridge work and civil works (drainage and roadway).
- Professional Engineer Designation in Alberta
- Understanding of rules and regulations on a construction site, particularly with civil works (drainage and roadway).
- Experience working on large, complex civil infrastructure projects.
- Experience working with joint venture partnerships.
- Experience working with public, department of transportation clients.
- Experience and knowledge with Internationally Recognized Codes & Standards.
- Experience interfacing with project owners.
- Knowledge using computer technology (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.).
- Flexible and well organized, detail oriented and multi-tasked.
- Strong communication skills, written and oral.
- Excellent ability to clearly explain advanced technical issues in manner that is easily understood.
- Strong sense of personal responsibility and accountability for delivering high quality work.
