Job DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?As Senior Manager, Strategy and Initiatives, you will be responsible for driving or supporting key strategic technology initiatives as part of the broader T&O (Technology & Operations) Strategy mandates. Initiatives will include researching and building competitive intelligence, comparative assessments, and thought leaderships that will inform decision making for our technology leaders and support the broader Technology Strategy development. You will have the opportunity to work on strategic challenges, defining clear approaches, and frameworks in addition to analyzing implications to business use-cases.What will you do?
  • Perform comprehensive strategic reviews and analyses leveraging frameworks, approaches, tools and methodologies and develop robust recommendations to support technology executives, Operating Committees, and lines of business
  • Lead strategic initiatives and/or research projects in line with the Technology Strategy that drives business value for the bank. This includes defining the scope, approach, successful outcomes, stakeholder engagement models, solution alternatives and strategic roadmaps
  • Structuring and developing leading edge insights via market research, including competitive intel, baselining, technology assessment, and market trending analysis focused on technology
  • Develop professional presentation content to effectively communicate findings and business implications to executive leadership teams
  • Support and enable various technology innovation initiatives and experimentations
  • Build strategic relations with internal technology and business clients, and external partners, including external research agencies, academia, venture capital, etc.
  • Staying constantly up to date with latest technology news, trends, and developments
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, continuous learning, and challenging the status quo
  • Other duties as required
What do you need to succeed?Must-have
  • Strong management consulting experience - previous consulting experience with a major consulting firm
  • Professional PowerPoint skills to develop content and tailor messaging for senior executives
  • Strong storyboarding and content delivery skills
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous situations and across different lines of business
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong relationships at every level of the organization
  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong communications and presentation skills
Nice-to-have
  • MBA or graduate / post-graduate or professional designations or equivalent
  • Good understanding of technologies such as AI/ML, LLM, Cloud Computing, etc.
  • Understanding of technology concepts - SDLC, Agile, DevOps, ITIL etc.
  • Technical background in areas such as python, databases, or other similar experiences.
