This Material Handler role is critical for the continuous operation of our client's manufacturing process. The position requires a licensed Forklift Operator who is highly organized and comfortable with inventory management tasks.The compensation for this Material Handler role is competitive, ranging from $21 to $25 per hour, commensurate with your relevant experience and qualifications.This integral Material Handler position is dedicated to maintaining the operational efficiency of a high-volume manufacturing facility in Guelph. Your core responsibility as a Forklift Operator is to manage the movement and organization of all parts and inventory, ensuring timely supply to production and managing the receiving process. Safety is paramount; strict adherence to all Occupational Health & Safety Regulations is non-negotiable. Responsibilities
  • Ensure parts are moved to the proper locations within the facilities with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assist in the staging and kitting of jobs as required to support the manufacturing schedule.
  • Co-ordinate the movement of inventory throughout the plants, managing internal logistics.
  • Help maintain a neat, organized shop and yard, adhering to 5S principles.
  • Perform the receiving of inventory as required, ensuring all documentation is processed correctly.
  • Assist Shipping and Receiving in the loading and unloading of trucks when required
  • Accurately receive and enter product into the Visual system.
  • Follow all Occupational Health & Safety Regulations and Company Health & Safety Policies and Procedures without exception.
  • Perform any additional duties as required by the Supervisor to support Manufacturing & Logistics operations.
Qualifications
  • You have at least 2-3 years previous work-related experience as a Material Handler or similar role in the manufacturing industry.
  • Mandatory valid and current forklift license with proven experience operating sit-down propane counterbalance, stand-up reach trucks and dockstocker.
  • Valid driver's permit.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs manually.
