Our experts work together to offer our clients services that live up to our vision: to meet the highest standards in the industry and innovate to exceed them.To meet our growth challenges, WSP is currently seeking an Intermediate Electrical Engineer - Energy Generation to join our teams located in any of our offices in Alberta, Ontario and Atlantic provinces.As part of our dynamic and growing Process and Energy Electrical Group, this position will be accountable for the design and optimization of complex power generation projects across North America.   • You will lead and support the electrical engineering and design of power generation projects
  • You will lead and support the electrical engineering and design of renewable energy projects
  • You will lead and support the electrical design of power plant and switchyard electrical system upgrades
  • You will lead and support the electrical engineering and design of federal electrical system upgrades
  • You will mentor and teach junior engineers
  • You will participate in the development of project proposals and budget development
What you'll bring to WSP:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution;
  • Professional engineering license (P.Eng) required;
  • Between 6 to 10+ years of relevant post education experience in an electrical engineering capacity within the consulting environment;
  • Experience designing power generation or substation projects preferred;
  • CAD, Microsoft Office, and ETAP or SKM software experience;
  • Ability to visit project sites as needed.
