You take pride in writing clean, production quality code and maintaining systems that support real business operations.You’re comfortable working across backend services, APIs, and infrastructure, and enjoy collaborating with both technical and non-technical teams to turn ideas into practical solutions.There are four main areas to this role:Website Platform Development:Maintain and improve the company’s website platform and digital customer interfacesImplement new functionality and performance improvements to enhance customer experienceSupport website infrastructure and platform integrationsExperience working with WordPress environments is beneficial, but not the primary focus of the roleAPI Development and Systems Integration:Design and implement REST APIs that support internal and external system communicationDevelop and maintain integrations with third-party platforms and internal data sourcesImplement authentication, validation, error handling, and logging across integrationsEnsure reliable communication between systems using APIs, webhooks, or event-driven workflowsSystems Architecture and Backend Development:Design, develop, and maintain backend services that support our digital platformWrite production quality code with a focus on reliability, performance, and securityBuild internal tools and services that support marketing, operations, and customer experienceMaintain and evolve existing systems while improving overall platform stabilityCloud Infrastructure and Platform Management:Manage and maintain our AWS cloud infrastructureMonitor system performance, uptime, and securityMaintain deployment workflows and infrastructure reliabilityEnsure the platform remains scalable, resilient, and secureThe most important thing is to build reliable systems and continuously improve the technology that supports our business. Responsibilities are not limited to those listed above, as the role may expand to include other related technical initiatives.Qualifications:5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer, Software Engineer, or similar roleStrong backend development experience with Python, PHP, or JavaScript, NodeExperience designing and implementing REST APIsExperience building and maintaining system integrationsExperience working with cloud infrastructure such as AWSStrong experience with modern development workflows including version control and deployment pipelinesExperience writing production-level code and debugging complex systemsStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailComfortable collaborating across teams to deliver technical solutionsAdditional Skills That Are Valuable:Experience working with CMS-based platforms such as WordPressExperience integrating CRM or marketing platformsExperience with analytics or data infrastructureExperience contributing to user interface or customer experience improvementsIn this role, you’ll be based at our stunning head office at 459 Eastern Ave, Toronto.
