GSW – Power Systems Application Engineer - DTS (Dispatcher Training Simulator)

• Electrical transmission modeling, EMS Application Engineer, GE PowerOn Reliance / XA21, GE eTerra Platform, Power System Applications, Dispatcher Training Simulator (DTS)

• Administer and optimize Energy Management System (EMS) system through application configuration, tuning and security patching preferably on GE PowerOn Reliance (XA21) and/or AEMS Platform Software, as well as EMS of any equivalent platforms from Siemens, OSI, ABB, Schneider etc. (NO DTS operator experience needed)
• Simulated RTU, Simulated IED, Console
• ICCP, IEC, DNP3, Modbus, Data Modeling, XML/JSON
• Proficient in both Linux and Windows operating environments.
• Knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server.
• Over 5 years of experience in Power system applications including Power Flow, State Estimator, Contingency analysis, Load Frequency Control (AGC), Dispatcher Training Simulator (DTS) with expertise in model validation event creation
• Proficient in programming languages at least 3 years for system integration or scripting, such as C, C++, PERL, or similar. SQL & Shell scripting, and ability to read and interpret logs and debug files.
• Must have experience in picking up and installing fixes on live customer systems

• Model validation and defect fixing for DTS system.
• Perform necessary technical corrective actions to restore failed or failing technical services on EMS system.
• Conduct code review, deployment, testing and monitoring of break/fix patches and modification.

• Ability to manage client discussions, and technical reviews.
• Effective communication, documentation, and presentation abilities.
• Familiarity with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
