- Job Description
- Design and drafting for the preparation of civil works drawings for land development projects including; subdivisions, commercial and industrial sites as well as public sector capital infrastructure projects including roads, transit, deep utilities, and streetscape projects.
- Create and modify CAD drawings including site plans, block profiles and cross sections using Autodesk Civil 3D software.
- Prepare site grading plans, underground sewer and watermain layouts, as well as erosion & sediment management plans. Support with earthworks volume analysis, quantity takeoffs, and cross section review. Assist stormwater teams with overland, and minor-system models and drawings.
- Adhere to quality control workflows and processes to ensure consistent quality deliverables.
- Coordinate with other engineers and technologists as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ensure drafting standards meet current design and Client standards, guidelines and other requirements.
- Profile
- Completion of a college diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Engineering Design or Drafting Technology, or similar.
- Up to 8 years of industry experience with focus on land development or municipal engineering design and construction.
- Registered or ability to be registered with ASET/APEGA is considered and asset.
- Collaborate with team members with an open-minded approach and a strong commitment to achieving shared goals.

- Flexible and able to adjust to shifting priorities while accepting direction when needed.
- Capable of communicating clearly and professionally in both written and verbal forms.

- Eager to develop proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-related design tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, PCSWMM, and BlueBeam Revu.
