- Lead the design and coordination of fire protection systems including sprinkler, standpipe, fire alarm interface, and life safety systems
- Manage projects from concept through construction, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget objectives are achieved
- Review drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documents for quality and code compliance
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, designers, and technical staff
- Coordinate with architects, mechanical, electrical, structural, and external stakeholders throughout project delivery
- Conduct site reviews, inspections, and field coordination during construction phases
- Support business development efforts, client relationships, and proposal preparation as needed
- Stay current with applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices
- Degree or diploma in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
- Professional Engineer designation (P.Eng.) or equivalent is considered a strong asset
- 5+ years of experience in fire protection consulting/design within the building construction industry
- Strong knowledge of NFPA, OBC, NBC, and relevant fire/life safety codes and standards
- Proven project management and leadership experience
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and related design tools is considered an asset
