Job Title: QA Automation Architect
Location: Markham, Ontario
Duration: 6 MonthsIntroductionWe are seeking a highly skilled professional with extensive and applied knowledge across a range of automated testing tools and frameworks. This individual will be an advocate and enabler of strong quality controls using industry-leading tooling and methodologies.Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Extensive and applied knowledge across a range of automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., WebDriver.IO, TypeScript, JavaScript).
  • Strong advocate of quality controls (unit, integration, acceptance testing frameworks and methodologies) using industry-leading tooling (e.g., Junit, Webdriver.io).
  • Applied knowledge of SAP offerings (S4, Commerce Cloud (Hybris), etc.).
  • An understanding of a range of programming languages and associated frameworks (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Typescript, HTML, CSS, SpringBoot, ReactJS, NextJS, TailwindCSS).
  • Ability to distill, author, and drive test automation strategies using best-in-class platforms and frameworks.
  • Proven experience with CI/CD processes and building quality controls into each step of the SDLC; a shift-left evangelist.
  • Experience with ITSM (ITIL v4) controls and processes.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, ContainerD, Kubernetes) and artifact tools (e.g., Artifactory, GCR, ACR, ECR).
  • Understanding of REST, GraphQL, and event-driven architecture principles and best practices.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Educated to a degree level in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Prior work experience in the client's industry.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Knowledge of diagramming tools and methodologies (e.g., Miro, Diagrams.net, Figjam, Mermaid.JS).
  • Experience with non-functional testing areas to ensure solution appropriateness.
  • Ability to empathize with customers to drive testing strategies aligned to their needs.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Drive test automation strategies and implement best practices.
  • Ensure quality controls are integrated into each step of the SDLC.
  • Collaborate with development teams to improve testing processes.
