This 100% on-site role will support our project with Metrolinx and work closely with the Field Service team. The position is fast-paced and dynamic, requiring the management of employee timesheet administration, support Environment Health & Safety, demonstrate excellent communication skills, written and verbal, good receipting of purchases, and perform general administrative tasks. In this position, you will gain exposure into the railway industry and railway maintenance. This is a 6-month contract with the potential to become a permanent full-time position.Required Experience and Qualifications
  • Candidates with a Degree or certificate in:
  • Business Administration
  • Office Administration
  • Human Resources
  • Project Administration or a related field
  • Well organized administrative professional with strong attention to detail
  • Experience in railway or construction, working on-site, or within a railway/industrial environment is considered an asset
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar administrative or coordination role
  • Experience with payroll support, time entry systems, or workforce tracking systems (e.g., SAP, Fiori, or similar platforms) is an asset
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems or work order processing is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with field staff, supervisors, and management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); ability to manage trackers, reports, and data accurately
  • Ability to learn new technologies and software systems quickly
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ability to provide prompt responses to inquiries and follow up consistently
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks, deadlines, and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of accountability, discretion, and professionalism when handling sensitive employee and operational data
  • Willingness to work fully on-site in Oakville, Ontario, with occasional travel to nearby project locations (e.g., Guelph)
