To learn more about Good Shepherd, visit our website atThis opportunity is within Good Shepherd Centres, Women's ServicesHow You Will Make an ImpactThe Manager of Administrative Services and Projects at Good Shepherd Centres is entrusted with a wide array of responsibilities integral to the daily operations and strategic initiatives of the organization.This pivotal role requires the execution of duties in alignment with the Mission, Vision, and Values of Good Shepherd Centres, ensuring that every task is carried out with the utmost dignity, respect, and adherence to the organization's values.The position involves a broad spectrum of administrative tasks including data collection, managing electronic and manual filing systems, reporting, and oversight of data collection systems. Additionally, the role entails the handling of inquiries, maintenance of schedules, supervision of administrative functions, support staff, and volunteers, all while embodying leadership qualities and role modeling behaviors that reflect Good Shepherd's core values.Beyond the fundamental administrative duties, the Manager of Administrative Services and Projects is also responsible for more specialized tasks such as processing invoices, reconciling petty cash, coordinating conference registration and travel, and maintenance of files and information related to Human Resources and Union Relations.A significant aspect of the role involves problem-solving, decision-making and ensuring confidentiality across all areas of operation.The successful candidate will also engage in internet research, provide IT support as needed, provide backup administrative coverage, organize special events, and demonstrate proactive initiative in anticipating work needs.Observe all health and safety rules and work in compliance with the provisions of the occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulationsWhat You'll Bring to Our Team
  • Post-secondary education in a related field (i.e. administrative studies)
  • Minimum 3 years of administrative experience
  • Demonstrated management or supervisory experience
  • Experience in a social service setting an asset
  • Demonstrated work ethic in leadership and role modelling of behaviours that demonstrates the Mission, Vision and Values of Good Shepherd Centres
  • Provide service in a dignified and respectful manner that reflects the charism of Good Shepherd Centres and which integrates anti-oppression/anti-racism frameworks
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively within trauma-informed, feminist, anti-racist, anti-oppressive frameworks
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides), as well as Database systems (EMHWare, HIFIS, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of phone etiquette and professional communication
  • Experience managing Outlook Calendar or similar scheduling tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to make sound decisions quickly
  • The ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain a calm, professional demeanor under pressure
  • The ability to be responsive to the needs of others with a respectful and compassionate demeanor
  • To observe all Good Shepherd health and safety rules and regulations and to work in a manner that minimizes risk to clients, staff and others as well as to the property of the Good Shepherd Centre's.
