Adecco is currently hiring a skilled full-time Financial Analyst to join our client's finance team in Cobourg, ON. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong analytical capabilities and proven experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and capital accounting. You will play a key role in supporting monthly reporting cycles, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with IFRS and PSAS standards.Pay Rate: $Location: Cobourg, ONSchedule: Monday to Friday | 8:30am-5:00pmJob type: Temporary | Full-timeVacancy Status: This posting is for an existing vacancy.Here's why you should apply:Paid weekly accurate and on timeStrong health and safety programsMedical and dental benefits once qualifiedFree training programsNew and quicker onboarding processResponsibilities:Bank & Cash ReconciliationPerform full bank reconciliations for all group companies.Match bank activity to the General Ledger, clear cashed cheques, and investigate discrepancies.Resolve outstanding variances promptly and accurately.Customer Invoicing & Accounts ReceivablePrepare miscellaneous AR invoices for municipal, contract-based, and other client billings (15-20 per month).Compile supporting documentation including materials, subcontractor invoices, labour hours, installation data, job costing, and related costs.Submit documents for internal approval and process invoices through the job cost module.Prepare and distribute billing packages to customers.Perform AR collection calls and follow up on overdue accounts.Complete AR aging analysis and assist with reporting activities.Capital AccountingMaintain and reconcile capital asset continuity schedules.Set up capital assets and reconcile additions, disposals, and transfers.Prepare and post monthly depreciation journal entries.Ensure capital accounts reconcile with supporting documentation.Work in Progress (WIP)Reconcile WIP reports to the general ledger and investigate mismatched data.Prepare timely and accurate monthly WIP summaries.Financial Reporting & General AccountingAssist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and draft year-end statements.Prepare accruals, journal entries, and supporting schedules.Complete balance sheet and expense account reconciliations.Process and reconcile intercompany transactions.Prepare and reconcile HST filings.Perform account reconciliations in accordance with IFRS and PSAS.Inventory & Operational SupportSupport annual physical inventory counts.Reconcile perpetual, physical, and general ledger inventory balances.Audit SupportPrepare schedules, reports, and financial documentation for external auditors.Assist with government audits (CRA, Ministry of Finance).Qualifications:CPA designation or active CPA Candidate.Post-secondary degree in Accounting, Business, Commerce, or Finance.Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and finance.Strong proficiency in computerized accounting environments.Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.Experience with Microsoft Great Plains is an asset.Strong analytical and communication skills.Proven ability to work under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.Strong initiative and problem-solving abilities.Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in CanadaAre you interested in this position?
