The Opportunity:We are currently seeking a Professional Engineer with Fire Protection background for a client of ours in the Design space. We are looking for an Engineer with stamping authority to mentor EITs and bring previously contracted engineering work in-house. This is a key leadership hire that will play a critical role in strengthening internal engineering capabilities and supporting long-term growth within Construction, Service, and Security. Based in Brampton or London, OntarioWhat You'll Be Doing:
  • Reviewing and sealing completed design documents in accordance with all applicable codes, standards, and internal procedures.
  • Bringing contracted engineering work in-house and strengthening internal technical capabilities.
  • Providing technical oversight, mentorship, and structured guidance to EITs and Junior Designers.
  • Conducting field reviews of systems during installation and issuing sealed field review reports.
  • Ensuring compliance with local codes, approved drawings, project specifications, and contract documents.
  • Collaborating closely with construction, service, security, fabrication, and engineering teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Working directly with contractors, consultants, building officials, inspectors, and clients to maintain strong relationships and project success.
  • Supporting strategic engineering initiatives as assigned by leadership.
What You'll Need to Be Successful:
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario with stamping authority.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a licensed engineer.
  • Ability and willingness to mentor EITs and junior engineering staff.
  • Industry experience in automotive, industrial manufacturing, or HVAC strongly preferred
  • Experience interpreting building codes, technical specifications, and construction drawings.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to attend site visits as required.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation Range: $90,000 - $110,000
