Job Description:We are looking for a dedicated Senior Accountant to join our team in Oro-Medonte, Ontario. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in accounting processes, and maintaining compliance with organizational standards. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and analyze billing activities to identify and address discrepancies.
  • Review daily margin reports for consistency and accuracy.
  • Reconcile bank accounts promptly to maintain financial integrity.
  • Prepare and post month-end journal entries with precision.
  • Conduct account reconciliations and compile related financial reports.
  • Enter and reconcile biweekly payroll journal entries effectively.
  • Support external and internal audit processes by providing necessary documentation.
  • Perform intercompany account reconciliations to ensure proper alignment.
  • Prepare and review commissions payable, ensuring accurate reconciliation of sales data.
  • Contribute to special projects and take on additional responsibilities as required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, including general ledger management.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and relevant standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities combined with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
