General Manager - 1793592St. John's, NLWhite Ash Group is currently recruiting a General Manager to join a fully licensed producer of Cannabis.Role SummaryThe General Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing all cultivation and operational aspects of the business. The role will involve ensuring that cultivation processes are compliant, efficient, and lead to the production of high-quality cannabis products. The individual will strategize to ensure the scalability and sustainability of operations, keeping in mind the company's mission and long-term objectives.Key Responsibilities· Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a strategic plan for the cultivation and operations division. Lead the optimization of current cultivation processes and techniques to ensure scalability. Drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.· Operational Oversight: Oversee all cultivation activities ensuring optimal plant health and yield. Lead the operations team in meeting productivity goals and ensuring cost-effective operations. Ensure facility compliance with all state and federal regulations as well as internal policies and procedures. Direct the design, planning, and expansion of cultivation facilities.· Team Management & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop cultivation and operations teams. Set clear departmental objectives and KPIs and ensure regular progress reviews. Foster a positive work environment and maintain a high level of professionalism throughout the cultivation team.· Quality & Compliance: Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure the highest product quality standards. Ensure all cultivation practices adhere to state regulatory standards and internal SOPs. Drive the implementation of best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs).· Budget Management: Develop and manage the annual cultivation and operations budget. Ensure operational expenditures are within budget and identify opportunities for cost savings.· Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with other departments such as Sales, Marketing, and Finance to align strategies and ensure the timely delivery of products. Serve as the cultivation spokesperson in company-wide meetings and communications.· Research & Development: Stay updated with the latest cultivation techniques, equipment, and technologies. Collaborate with R&D teams to implement innovative cultivation solutions.Qualifications· Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business, or a related field. Advanced degrees preferred.· Minimum of 4+ years of experience in cannabis cultivation with at least 3 years in a leadership role.· Strong knowledge of cannabis cultivation techniques, facility requirements, and operational best practices.· Demonstrated ability to lead and manage large teams.· Experience with budget management and forecasting.· Strong understanding of regulatory compliance related to cannabis cultivation.· Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.White Ash Group and the companies it represents are Equal Employment Opportunity employers that value the strength of diversity within the workplace.
