On behalf of our client, one of BC’s Top Employers for 2026, TEEMA is currently seeking a junior or intermediate Legal Administrative Assistant to join their Floater Resource Team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’+ experience working in a Canadian law firm, be energetic, flexible, highly motivated and driven to succeed.What you will be doing:Providing assistance to lawyers during periods of vacation and other absences of legal assistantsLiaising with other legal assistants, paralegals, lawyers and clients regarding file progressDrafting and transcribing legal documents, basic pleadings and correspondenceFielding client inquiriesManaging bring-forward system for tasks and appointmentsOrganizing meetings and scheduling discoveries, trials, and other court datesPreparing application recordsKeeping paper and electronic files up-to-datePreparing monthly accountsConducting searchesProviding overflow assistance and other various general administrative dutiesWhat you must have:Completion of an accredited Legal Administrative Assistant programMinimum of 2 years’ experience as a Legal Administrative AssistantExcellent technical skills including Outlook, MS Word and MS ExcelStrong spelling, grammar and proofreading skillKeyboarding at a minimum or 60wpmA good understanding of civil litigation rules and proceduresExperience with maintaining an effective file management and bring forward systemAbility, flexibility and openness to providing interim coverage in all practice areas of the FirmCommitment to providing first-rate level of knowledge and prompt quality service to clients and internal stakeholderExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to listen effectively and respond appropriatelyExcellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail to produce high quality and accurate workAbility to work effectively both independently and as a contributing member in a team environmentSolid decision making and problem-solving skills coupled with a willingness to learn and to adapt to changing demandsA high level of initiative and resourcefulnessAbility to prioritize tasks by deadline, work calmly under pressure and manage high volume of work in a fast-paced environmentProfessional, positive and can-do attitudeSalary/Rate Range: $62,000 – $67,000 annually
