- Operate power and non-powered material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Other material handling equipment may be considered.
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Picking and put-away of all product types
- Maintaining a thorough knowledge of inventory/stock, stock locations, model numbers, manufacturer specifications and handling instructions
- Conduct all functions in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with all policies and procedures
- Equipment operator experience on order picker is required. Experience on clamp truck is an asset. Other Material Handling Equipment experience will be considered.
- Ability to prepare customer orders by operating material handling equipment to lift and carry product exceeding 50 lbs. on a regular basis (loading sofas, etc.); some manual lifting is required to adjust the loads.
- Proficient knowledge of safe material handling techniques
- Able to meet deadlines
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings and weekends, as required
- Ability to pass a criminal background check sponsored by The Brick
