Reports to: Director of Community and Marketing, Acrobatic Arts
Location: Airdrie, AB: 9 hours per week in office, 3 hours per week flexible/remote
Compensation: $18.00/hour, 12 hours per week
SummaryThe Business Development Assistant supports lead generation and prospect engagement for Acrobatic Arts and Tap Roots, ensuring a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities for the sales team. This role contributes directly to the growth and expansion of the Ensemble Performing Arts B2B ecosystem by identifying and connecting with dance studios and independent teachers through organized, professional outreach. Time is split between both organizations. Acrobatic Arts and Tap Roots are proud to be a part of Ensemble Performing Arts.Responsibilities
Research and identify new leads including dance studios, independent teachers, and prospective customers across North America
Conduct outbound outreach via email, phone, and social media to generate interest and initiate conversations
Follow up with prospects in a timely, organized, and professional manner to move them through the pipeline
Schedule discovery calls and meetings on behalf of the Director of Community and Marketing
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM, tracking lead activity, pipeline progress, and communication history
Support the sales team by ensuring qualified leads are contacted, engaged, and moved toward scheduled conversations
Measurables
20+ new qualified leads added to pipeline per week
100+ outbound contacts (emails, calls, messages) per week
3+ discovery calls scheduled per week
CRM updated weekly with current lead status and communication notes
Response time 2 hours or less on in office days, 6 hours or less on flex days
