We are committed to delivering law enforcement and security services that are sensitive to the needs of our community, through collaborative partnerships and teamwork. We are seeking talented individuals who can meet the challenges of serving in Canada's most diverse university environment and who represent its population.Typical Duties:
- Performs foot and mobile patrols;
- Performs traffic and crowd control duties;
- Escorts University of Toronto personnel property users when required;
- Staff the communications desk when required, receiving and appropriately responding to telephone calls and other requests for information and assistance;
- Under supervision, investigates crime-related occurrences on University property;
- Checks the security of University property, reports any hazardous conditions;
- Assists the public on University property, advising on University policies and general information;
- Maintains a Special Constable memo book;
- Prepares reports;
- Provides security for visiting dignitaries;
- Assists with crime prevention programs;
- Other related duties as required.
- Secondary School Diploma or certified copy of transcripts or equivalency
- A current copy of a Ministry of Transportation Statement of Driving Record (3 years uncertified can be requested on-line)
- A current copy of a criminal background clearance letter from the police service in the jurisdiction in which you reside
