The Production Scheduler is responsible to plan, coordinate and manage the production schedule to ensure timely, efficient and cost-effective manufacturing operations. The Production Scheduler works closely with operations, procurement, logistics and production teams to ensure materials, tools and resources are available for 100% Customer Delivery Performance.Job Duties * Create, maintain, and ensure execution of the Production Schedule
  • Issue work orders to the production floor and follow up on completion
  • Ensure components are available for timely completion of the Production Schedule including Service Requirements
  • Participate in daily production meetings and resolve scheduling/manpower conflicts as required
  • Management of Outside Vendors, prioritizing and inventory verification
  • Assist with Cycle counting/Bar Coding
  • Ensure integrity of data entry
  • Train staff to cover duties in their absence
  • Organize and participate in Annual Physical Inventories
  • Review long-term forecasts to identify and mitigate possible capacity/material issues and recommend appropriate action
  • Constantly look for improvements and help implement solutions
Requirements * Minimum grade 12
  • Materials Management accreditation an asset
  • Two years work experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Practical experience in using MRP or ERP systems is preferred
  • Proficient in Excel – intermediate level preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player within multi-disciplined team
  • Strong organizational skill set
  • Strong computer skills – CMS experience an asset
  • Understanding of Indented Bill of Materials creation and updating
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Meticulous record maintenance skills
  • Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization and its executive team
  • Strong Customer Service orientation
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
Working Conditions * Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
  • Overtime as required
  • Job involves working on the Production Floor
