The Production control clerk ensures the production shift is properly setup systematically, creates and organizes the necessary paperwork and labels required for each shift. This position is responsible for coordinating the PPM and FPA with scheduler and production. In summary all administrative and clerical tasks associated with production / operations reside with this positionCompensation Range: $44,000 - $50,000 CAD AnnuallyVacancy Status: Existing OpeningEssential Job FunctionsThe following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties however; it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.Demonstrate commitments to safety and perform job duties in accordance with Company safety policies and proceduresDemonstrate commitment to quality and perform job duties in adherence to GMP guidelinesResponsible for creating, organizing and distributing the complete work packets/job dockets current and next shiftResponsible for creating and distributing the correct picklists, as necessaryMove or create 7 series material for the lines to start confirming production (SAP)Responsible for UPC label printing if applicable-dual approval – QA sign off and ProductionQT9 nonconformance entries/Create the NCPSafety Advocate documentation and active participationAssisting Floor Leads or Supervisors as requestedMaintain a professional demeanor and performance in supervision of staffPerform all computer functions in Warehouse Management System (WMS)Process information and merchandise through computer systemUnderstand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirementsPerform other duties as assigned by management/supervisorsReview the sample and the pictures for approval/ following the site and customer requirementEnsures and supports to make sure Food safety, Quality, HACCP and GMP is always followedKnowledge, Skills & Abilities· Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner· Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon needs of the business· Ability to work on a rotating shift as needed· Ability to effectively work in teams and demonstrate a “team player” demeanor· Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people· Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles· Ability to lead/supervise large groups of associates· Knowledge and understanding of quality standards, methods and reporting as required· Ability to multi-task and plan in advance for production in assigned areas· Ability to interpret instruction (both verbal and written)· Ability to produce at a high level through assigned staff and work with plant management for required results· Ability to perform all computer functions as they pertain to the jobEnsures and supports to make sure Food safety, Quality, HACCP and GMP is always followedEducation & Experience· High School Diploma or Equivalent· Minimum 2 years of related experience or training in warehouse productionPhysical Requirements & Work EnvironmentSitting on a regular basisStanding, stooping, walking, and lifting requiredMust be aware of surroundings at all times as there is moving equipmentPosition may be based at Menasha Packaging site or customer locationAll employees should be aware of their responsibilities and their accountability is clearly defined for key staff involved with product safety, legality, and quality systems.The above statements reflect the general details necessary to describe the principle functions of the occupation described and shall not be construed as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be inherent in the occupation.Menasha Packaging is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
