- Complete design drawings and calculations that satisfy all the applicable code and regulation requirements (ESA, CEC, CSA, Etc.).
- Assist in the preparation of design schedules, material / labor estimates, permit applications and construction packages.
- Conduct pre-design inspections, worksite visits and construction support.
- Assist with the preparation of reports regarding the status and results of completed and in-progress design projects.
- Prepare technical reports as required by the client and project team.
- Utilize various utility design software and tools.
- Liaises with clients, contractors, field staff and other stakeholders.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- 3 - 5 years' experience designing and drafting OH & UG electrical distribution systems.
- Registration as an E.I.T. with the P.E.O is considered an asset.
- CET certified or CET eligible is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proven people and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with a diverse group of individuals.
- Strong computer skills required - experience with AutoCAD software, Bentley MicroStation / ProjectWise, SAP, SpidaCalc, AGi32 streetlighting software and 3-D software experience is considered an asset.
- Ability to travel for projects (Valid G driver's license and access to a vehicle is required).
- Proven ability to take initiative and leadership.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Hybrid split week work from home / office model.
