Senior Accountant

• Own full-cycle accounting across multiple entities (GL, AP, AR, month-end close)
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (ASPE)
• Assist with consolidated reporting and ensure data accuracy across entities

• Track and reconcile development and construction costs by project and phase
• Support cost capitalization and maintain detailed project financial records
• Monitor budgets vs. actuals and identify variances or risks
• Assist with construction financing, loan draws, and lender reporting
• Maintain fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and capex reporting

• Support budgeting and reforecasting for projects and operations
• Prepare variance and cash flow analysis
• Provide insights to support project decision-making and cost control

• Assist with HST, payroll remittances, WSIB, EHT, and other filings
• Support year-end audits and liaise with external auditors and advisors
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies

• Work within accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Vista, or similar)
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting
• Support system enhancements and documentation of procedures

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA (completed or in progress)
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and ASPE reporting
• Experience in real estate development or project accounting (preferred)
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical mindset
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
