As a Lead Systems Administrator at OpenText, you will be part of a global team of administrators responsible for the deployment, management, performance tuning, configuration, and troubleshooting of the computing infrastructure that powers the OpenText Cloud.
The ideal candidate will be a team player, have previous experience in managing a large physical and virtual computing environment, and have a sound understanding of the technologies we support.WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS

- Progressive in-depth hands-on experience as an administrator in OpenStack of various flavors – Canonical, RedHat, Ansible, etc.
- Fundamental understanding of the various component services central to OpenStack deployment and management including Neutron, Nova, Cinder, Swift, Keystone, etc
- Excellent understanding of some of the 3rd party open source tooling that provides bolt-on services to OpenStack including but not limited to replication, automation, migration, High availability
- In-depth knowledge of the process of updating and maintaining OpenStack software and driver releases in a 24/7 environment on an ongoing basis to ensure currency
- Excellent understanding of various Linux distributions (RHEL, Ubuntu, SLES, etc.)
- Hands-on experience in project teams tasked with migrating workloads from VMware to OpenStack
- Some familiarity with various alternative hyper-visors (ESXi, KVM, XEN, Hyper-V, ProxMox)
- Understanding of various scripting technologies (PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, Python)
- Experience using AI to develop strategies to automate workloads and processes, with a commitment to operating in a safe and secure manner to prevent the exposure of sensitive information in any public domain, and basic Network troubleshooting skills
- Ability to handle and prioritize workloads and work effectively in a time-critical environment
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
