- Safely operating assigned trucks and ensuring top-quality service to customers.
- Performing daily vehicle inspections (brakes, lights, fluids, safety equipment).
- Keeping accurate service logs, disposal volumes, mileage, and fuel records.
- Communicating with dispatch, supervisors, and customers to ensure efficient service.
- Responding professionally to emergency service calls.
- Performing light maintenance and keeping your truck clean and ready.
- Reporting hazards, incidents, or mechanical issues immediately.
- Taking pride in delivering essential services that keep Yellowknife running smoothly.
- Valid Class 3 or Class 1 license with air brake endorsement.
- A clean driving record.
- 1–2 years’ experience with Class 3 trucks or heavy equipment (preferred).
- Knowledge of safe waste handling and disposal practices (training available).
- Strong safety awareness, attention to detail, and time management.
- Able to lift objects up to 50 pounds.
- Outdoor work in all weather conditions - active, not stuck behind a desk.
- On-call weekend rotation/overtime as needed.
- Occasional exposure to odours and confined spaces (with strict safety protocols).
