To see our one-of-a-kind projects, visit .Currently, we are looking for a Playground Technical Designer to join our growing team. The role of this team member is best suited to someone with experience in custom design and manufacturing and/or new product development, who is able to produce technical content for downstream production. It is best suited to someone who is comfortable working outside the box; our playgrounds don't fit within regular building code categories.Your job will be to produce fabrication drawings and installation instructions for our engineering and fabrication crews, conduct product revisions and contribute to design optimizations, update standard details, and support continuous improvement projects. You will brainstorm ideas, analyze, test, document, and present your work by collaborating with a diverse group of colleagues. Ultimately, you will strive toward developing new skills within all areas of playground design and construction.Ideal candidates will:
- have a background in engineering, custom construction, product development, design or a similar industry;
- have experience using custom 3D CAD modeling software;
- have intermediate to advanced experience with Solidworks for detailing;
- experience writing macros or programming with Solidworks API an asset;
- think that building models, Lego, or even assembling IKEA furniture is awesome;
- enjoy collaborative work with a multidisciplinary team but also work effectively with little supervision;
- have a growth mindset, and learn from your mistakes;
- have excellent attention to detail;
- possess excellent organization skills;
- have a natural ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently;
- have a creative mind and willingness to think outside the box.
